Yeah, I've lost a couple of shinies myself. I did manage to get them back with the pokeradar, but since it's much harder to find shinies randomly, it doesn't feel the same.

I WAS SO STUPID D< On Sapphire a while ago (I'm sure most of you have heard this story), I went to go catch two Jigglypuff (I needed Pokedex data, and Igglybuff from breeding and all). Soes, for some odd reason, I deposited ALL but 2 Master Balls (HACKER!....Stfu) into the PC, so I had nothing other than that. NO Poke Balls or anything.

So I go and catch the two pink balloons, and decide to Surf back (you know where Jigglys appear in RSE, right?) to land to go to the PC. Well, I look up as I run into a Pokemon, then look back down to see those golden shiny stars. Cue the "OHMYGODASHINYASHINYASHINYASHINY!!!!!!!!!!!"

I got it down to red, then realized I had nothing to catch it with. Damn Wingull and its green wings.

Why am I posting this in the game section? Ah well.

My shiny stories:
The first shiny I ever found was a bellsprout in LG. Since I was quite the noob then, I killed it.
The second shiny I found was a rhyhorn. Also in LG. In the safari zone. Guess what happened next.
The third shiny I ever found and the last random one I lost was a swabl in emerald. I caught it, but then I started a new file.

It seems like there are very few people who knew what a shiny was when they first came across one. My first was a Tentacool in Silver. No, Gold. I dunno, but either way, it disappeared...I had evolved it too...

But now I have a random shiny Banette and Raticate tot make up for it. I want a shiny Linoone DX

I really want a shiny Umbreon with an appropriate nature. I found shiny Jolteon while looking for him... =/ (not that I don't like Jolteon but...)

^yeah, I hate it when things like that happen... After losing that Delibird in Crystal, I always made sure to take lots of pokeballs with me wherever I went.
